Into the Palace

Going through the main gateway into the Old Palace areas there was initially another smaller courtyard.

These types of murals are common in the city and are painted when a child of the household is married, horses for sons, elephants for daughters.

Some relics from the past included traps, this one was for a leopard, there was a much larger one for tigers too.

As we started to go indoors and through the corridors we started to see some highly intricate and lavish decorations.
