The Monsoon Palace sits on a hill about a half hour drive from the City. The Palace was handed over to the Government by the Royal Family in the early 1950s for the people of the city to enjoy. As a result for a small charge you can enter the grounds and explore the area from the lower section of the hill to the gardens and the Palace itself. However also as a result the Palace is no longer in the peak of condition from its heyday.
