Views of the City

The setting of the Monsoon Palace gives extensive views of the city and surrounding area, here are a few such shots.

First though a view of the Palace itself from the Lake.  You can see how it makes a good vantage point.

This view shows the Palace lawn and Fateh Sagar Lake with Nehru Lake within it.  There was a group of visitors having a yoga class as the sun set.

Looking further round to the right is Lake Pichola, with the Lake Palace Hotel in it.  This and the close up below shows how the City Palace also dominates the side of the Lake and the City.

This shot was taken fro the rear of the palace and looking down the sheer face of its wall.  More of Lake Pichola can be seen and how the city has spread out around it.
