As well as the general markets there were some more permanent shops.

This
was the road our hotel was on, the first storey on the left are some of the
rooms. This was fairly early in the morning so not all the shops had
opened up yet. A lot of these ones were aimed more at the tourists.


There seemed to be a thing for German Bakeries, with two or three in the town and this was the most popular, it gets mentioned in the Lonely Planet Guide. Though not sure they had many Germans.
Anju had predicted that it would be run by a Punjabi person and she was proved right.
It also had a small restaurant down the alley and served proper coffee! Giving an indication of some of the clientele it served there was Chinese, Italian, Indian, Continental and Israeli cuisine.
Though the first four are common in most of India.

Meat does not get sold in pretty plastic packages here.
