Our overnight camp was at Hundar a small village close to the Shyok River. Within the grounds of the camp was a small old temple. Once owned by a royal family in the region, it was donated to a monastery and converted to a temple. Two monks from the monastery still look after it and they were happy to show us around.

These
pictures show various artifacts inside the temple, including these sacred texts

A painting reputedly over 400 years old.
