Apart from the trees around the rivers and villages most of the plants seen around Ladakh look similar to alpine varieties seen in the garden centres at home. Small and low lying but often with bright flowers. Generally they were sparsely spread out rather than seen en-mass. Below are some examples of the plants we saw.
