Fauna and

We saw a number of animals during the week some domesticated and others wild.  One of the most important stock animals of the region are Yaks, stocky long haired cattle.  Others include sheep, goats, donkeys and horses.  There are said to be over 250 varieties of birds in the region though we certainly did not see that many and indeed they often seemed scarce, perhaps they just kept out of our way.
