Home Indian Trips <<Previous Ladakh Next>>
Chang La is a high pass en-route from Leh to Pangong Lake, its altitude was about 5300m. It was the first time that we experienced this really high altitude. It was noticeable from headaches and breathlessness the difference of being this high. We were lucky that there was little wind and lots of sun as it felt reasonably warm, just needed a shirt and light jumper but I can imagine that at times it must be very bitter and remote for the soldiers posted there.

Just a few huts were at the site
Along
with a shrine

And a tea point.
