As we got nearer to the lake the landscape was changing into a broader valley and grassland. The Lake is very long and narrow, so the first sight of it through the hills was just one end and what appeared to be a small amount of water.
One of a small group of lads that we saw playing around this area, no sign of a camp or dwellings at this point so not quite sure where they had come from.
Getting nearer still the grass dwindled away and the valley became more sand.
And then there it was, just a little bit of blue.
The
trail brings you past one end of the ;ale, there was one small outpost
apparently with a souvenir shop but we did not stop there.
Now
we were really there.
