This resort situated near the village of Kumarakom and on the shore of Lake Vembanad. This large lake is set within the system of backwaters in Kerala.
If you use Google Earth, Kumarakom is at about 9o 35' North, 76o 25' East. There you can see quite clearly the Lake and the canals and backwaters that we would later travel on in a houseboat.
The resort was a beautiful place to relax and unwind after the previous days hard touristing. The rooms were in the form of small cottages, reconstructed from old traditional building. They had some interesting feature.

We even had our own little private garden which included the bathroom. I'm standing by the sink and toilet, the shower is to the right and Andy was standing by the bath.
