Ludiya Village - Craftwork

While at the village the ladies should us examples of their work, some very beautiful embroidery.  The interior of the house is also typical of the region along with the style of dress of the ladies.

Women in this region typically wear a full skirt, an embroidered blouse and a long head scarf. The blouse consists of short sleeves and a front but no back, it is usually held in place with a tie cord round the back.

Women will also wear their wealth in the form of jewelry , and bangles up the arm.  The white upper bangles were traditionally made of ivory but are now in plastic.
