Ludiya Village

In this village we saw some example of embroidery and mudwork.  Mudwork is the decoration of the inside and outside of huts using a mix of mud and camel dung, which is then whitewashed.

On our way to the village we also saw a herd of camel.

The village had a mixture of traditional mud huts as well as some newer building built since the earthquake of 2001

Very few plants grow in this region and it gets very hot during the summer.  Even in October the temperature was well above 30 C.
