Getting to the Top

More walls and gateways as we continued up.

At this level there were still some of the old buildings from the city.

Part of the moat is visible that is around the inner citadel.

This was about the highest point we reached, we did not have time to go to the upper most pavilion.  However it does give an idea of the views that you got across the plains, not much chance of making a surprise attack here.

To reach this point we had gone through a couple of narrow corridors and stairways, led by a guide using a flaming torch.  We were also accompanied by a few bats.
