This tomb is sometime rather unfairly termed 'The Poor Man's Taj' as it is based on the more famous Taj Mahal, and whilst certainly not as grand it is still a fine building. It was built by Aurangazeb's son Azam Shah for his mother Rabia Durrani in 1678. The name Bibi Ka Maqbara literally means 'Tomb of the Lady'. Aurangazeb's father was Shah Jhan who built the Taj Mahal.

Unlike in the Taj where you do not see the actual tombs but cenotaphs above, here you see the tomb from above. People seem to be in the habit of throwing in coins.
