The station is close to the centre of the town and full of activities. Across the road is an engine shed where the locomotives can be refuelled and serviced.


While
one of the engines was being reversed at the station, local children played in a
carriage.
One young lad caught misbehaving by the stationmaster at one point got pulled by his ear to the office and looked like he was going to get caned. It pays to behave.
