Local Wildlife

While at the resort we managed to get some photos of some of the wildlife and in particular the birds that we saw there.  Of course there were also the elusive ones that got away....

I think that this is a variety of Cormorant.

This little chap is a plumbeous redstart, a regular by the rivers and streams of the Himalayas, and a quick little mover.

We think that this one is a pied kingfisher.

There were also monkeys about.  These ones look like Common Langurs, which are apparently found all over India but the ones in the Himalayas are the largest..  They have tails longer than their bodies.

There were also some smaller creatures.
