This is the name of a very large bas relief depicting a story from Hindu Mythology. As there is not exact agreement on what is being portrayed it is also sometimes called, The Descent of Ganga. It is about 30m across by 12m high and shows very realistic portrayals of animals and figures. A large fissure is incorporated into the design to represent the River Ganga and apparently at one time water ran down this part of the relief. Next to the relief is another rock temple, which is again covered with various reliefs.

that the design was not completed.

Some basic etchings on the floor at the front of the temple suggests that this was a place where people played board games.
